Everyone has an inner artist and nurturing it, is also nurturing oneself
I believe everyone has the ability to create beautiful, meaningful art—without needing years of art school. Whether you’re picking up a paintbrush for the first time or have been creating art for years, my goal is to inspire, guide, and empower you to tap into your creativity in a fun and supportive environment.
Making time for art can get lost in the shuffle
As a kid, I loved art! But somewhere in young adulthood, I stopped having a regular practice. I spent most of my career putting my creative energy into designing enterprise software, working in tech for much of my adult life. By the end of the day, it was hard to find that creative spark.
Creating art brings joy to daily life
Like so many others, I rediscovered my love for art during the COVID pandemic through junk journaling. It reignited my passion for creating. I loved some of my junk journal pages so much, but there was no good way to frame them, so I began exploring art that could be hung on the wall.
Find your own artistic voice
In 2024, I was accepted into a competitive juried show at The Sanchez Gallery in Pacifica, CA, called the 50/50—50 artists, 50 pieces of work, created in 50 days. That experience, working under pressure, was a turning point for me. It made me want to help others find their artistic voice, no matter where they are in their creative journey.
Embrace imperfections and let your hands go wild!
At Wild Hands, we’re all about embracing imperfection, letting go of the inner critic, and finding joy in the process of making art. Our classes are designed to be playful, approachable, and engaging, with a focus on mixed media, collage, and art journaling. Most of all, we believe art should be fun
